Welcome to Tahoe’s Best Hostel!

Hostel Announcement:

Dear Guests-

The recent series of storms and current blizzard has damaged critical building systems and supersaturated the ground water. With extreme regret, HOSTEL TAHOE is closed effective immediately until January 23, 2017 for repairs. We sincerely apologize for the impact to our guests and their travel plans.

The over seven feet of snow, rain, and expected two to four feet of snow this week has supersaturated the ground water, knocked out Hostel power supply, and damaged portions of the HOSTEL ceasing our ability to operate. The storm is expected to clear by this Friday; at that point we will be able to assess the extent of repairs needed. Due to the widespread impacts repairs will continue through the following week.

All reservations between January 11th and January 23rd are cancelled and full refunds will be issued immediately. If you are still coming to Tahoe you will need to make an alternate booking, you will not be able to stay at HOSTEL TAHOE. Please note that I-80 is presently closed; a regional power outage has Squaw and Alpine closed; Northstar is closed for safety reasons. Per Liberty Energy it may be three days until the power is reinstated in the region and at the HOSTEL.

During this time, due to issues with phone and internet systems, we will not be responding to phone inquiries and will have limited response to email inquiries until the HOSTEL is stabilized.

We appreciate your understanding as we diligently work to repair and re-open the HOSTEL.

Our sincere apology to you our guests,

Andrew and Christine Ryan (HT Owners)
