It is always a good idea to bring some warm clothing for Tahoe’s brisk mornings and cool summer nights.

Biking is one of the best way to explore Lake Tahoe. We have bike racks for our guests to lock up their bikes, please bring a lock.

Other items you may wish to bring could be books, writing materials, musical instruments and of course… your great company!

Kitchen

We encourage our guests to prepare their own meals in our fully-equipped communal kitchen. There are several grocery stores within walking distance from Hostel Tahoe. We provide plenty of cookware, utensils, dishes, and refrigerator/freezer storage space. We also keep several basic pantry items stocked, e.g. oil, salt, pepper sugar, garlic, etc.

Lake Tahoe has one of our nation’s best drinking water. We encourage our guest to use refillable water bottle and Drink Tahoe Tap!

Smoking and Alcohol

Our NO smoking policy is strictly enforced on the premises.

We try to maintain a balance between allowing our guests to fully enjoy their stay and maintaining a comfortable atmosphere for all our guests. For that reason, alcohol may only be consumed in a reasonable fashion in the common area and/or private or family rooms, NOT in the dorms. We reserve the rights to take appropriate action against drunk or unruly guests.

NOTE: The legal drinking age in the United States is 21 and will be respected in Hostel Tahoe.

Pets Policy

Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate pets. As much as we love them, we kindly ask you to please leave your pets at home.
